Note that I am not so sure the headline writer totally got the gist of my thesis when he summarised it as follows:

Maintaining customer identity database is proving to be very crucial!

Never mind its the thought that counts. A paradigm shift in thinking can usually only be detected with the benefit of hindsight, but hearts and minds have to be won over one at the time ……
